Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days (新世紀エヴァンゲリオン 鋼鉄のガールフレンド2nd, Shin Seiki Evangelion Koutetsu no Girlfriend 2nd (Japan), Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Iron Maiden 2nd (Brazil) is a manga by Fumino Hayashi and printed in Monthly Asuka. The storyline is "based on an original story by Gainax-Khara," mostly based around a sequence in the actions of "Instrumentality" portrayed in the final episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion, which featured the show's cast in a lighter high school romantic comedy setting (as compared to the dark, psychological and apocalyptic themes of Evangelion canon). Anime News Network describes it as "a romance rather than an action series, with love triangles a-plenty."
